General configuration

All options discussed in this article can be accessed by going to Settings > Forum configuration > Site widget. The first option available in the widget configuration panel is enabling/disabling SSL. Although this option is disabled by default, you might want to consider switching SSL on. SSL is an encryption protocol which will help keep your users' data safe when it's being transferred between their computers and Sugester's servers.

The next available setting is Widget title. At the moment you can only choose from several pre-defined options. If you would like to use a different title, please contact us by chat, e-mail or on our forum.

Another setting is the Distance from the top of the page. By default this value is set to 25%, but you can choose any number between 1 and 100.

Depending on your page's design, you might also want to choose one of the widget color schemes. At the moment there are six options available: black, grey, white, red, green and blue. If you prefer another color, do not hesitate to contact us - we're happy to help.

Another thing you can modify is widget placement. Here, the choice is very straightforward: you can choose between left and right.

The final option in this section is toggling the widget animation. When this option is enabled, the transition between the mini-bookmark and the full window will be animated.

Advanced configuration

In this part of the article we will go over altering the look and feel of the new post submission form. Just like the previous ones, the following options can be reached by going to Settings > Forum configuration > Site widget.

The first option in this segment is Widget title. It will be displayed in the sport marked on the following image.

To the right of the previous option you will find a field titled Display posts on widget. There you can pick one of three options from the drop-down list: popular, new or disabled.

Another setting is the option marked Publish to forum by default. When this option is toggled, new posts will not be submitted for admin review beofre publishing.

Finally, there is the most powerful personalization tool: CSS customization. The CSS code pasted into the field on the left will change the appearance of the inside of the window; code pasted to the field on the right will alter the looks of the outside of the window.
